2026 is here! I’m up by a dollar!

The starting gun, or guns in my rural area, have fired their shots alerting us to the arrival of 2026. For real though, why do we shoot guns and waste valuable ammo in NYE, we should save that for the Purge night. Oh ya, that’s fantasy. Damn.

2026 is here. My goal is up and running! I transferred $1 from my checking to my savings account to get over the hurdle of the “hardest jump is from zero to one”.

So, for January 1st 2026, currently in my 10k savings goal…. $1. $9,999 more to go!

One thing my wife and I are making an absolute priority, whether or not it slows me down is yet to be seen, but we are prioritizing tithing. 10% of our income at the beginning of the month is going to our church god has provided for us up to this point, and if I want abundance from him, I need to be worthy and following His word. So…tithing is paid, $1 moved, and YNAB budget set for groceries, fuel, and car insurance. Hopefully we don’t need anything not on the list until I get paid in a week 😂
